How do I become an approved applicator?

Certification is a multi-step process. We will need you to hold a city and guilds spraying qualification (these are available and can be CITB funded). A second stage is a course with us at ThermaCoteUK (which is free) where we take you through a range of requirements, explain the sales and leads process as well as how the guarantee works and all the documentation that is required. There will be two strains of this second course as the sales and lead process will not be needed by everyone. Please note, each individual will need to hold the city and guilds qualification not just one person from a company as we need to maintain the reputation and credibility of the product and those applying it. We want happy customers! We can put you in touch with a firm who can do the spray training and we will be running the second stage courses at least twice per month online and once per month at the NSBRC site at Swindon. Please contact us at applicator@thermacoteuk.com to learn more about the approved applicator process.

Can you clean it?

It is recommended that you clean all exterior applications as needed and interior applications can be cleaned as needed with a wet sponge.

What does the finished product look like?

The finished dried product look is like a flat matt paint. It can easily be the top coat if desired.

Do you offer a warranty?

We offer a warranty of 10 years externally and lifetime internally. This is only if applied by an approved contractor in line with guidelines. Guarantees are signed off by ThermaCote® Europe.

Can I apply ThermaCote® on rusty surfaces?

Yes, ThermaCote® contains in its formulation rust inhibitors that can stop the degradation of the support. However, it will be necessary to brush and clean the metal beforehand in order to get rid of impurities as much as possible. We would recommend and can apply a suitable primer of a ‘stop-rust’ product.
